K-Mark is a proudly South African manufacturer that offers desk chairs, office furniture and other services in Cape Town. We manufacture our own furniture, so we can offer a fully customisable product that has a low environmental impact but is still affordable.
How K-Mark started
K-Mark was started in 2000 by Neville Nichols and Mark Vercueil. Our mission is to offer high-quality, locally produced office furniture with a customer-centric approach that ensures the needs of our South African clientele are always met.
We started small – operating from Neville’s home – but quickly gained momentum. Today, our headquarters in Epping includes a manufacturing plant, refurbishing workshop, warehouse and admin offices. We have smaller branches in other South African cities.
K-Mark’s manufacturing ethos
We strive towards equality and equity at K-Mark. We believe in offering opportunities for improvement to our staff through training and development.
Only three years after we started, the company became 51% black-owned. K-Mark holds Level 1 and 2 B.E.E. certificates and an S.M.M.E rating certificate with Empowerdex.
At K-Mark, we also follow a strict green policy that helps us reduce energy consumption and minimise waste. All our incoming packaging materials are recycled and our goal is to reduce energy waste by 5% each year.
