Our values

At K-Mark, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and ensuring our manufacturing processes have as little negative environmental impact as possible.

We believe that it’s in all our interests for South African companies to safeguard the health of our country’s air, land and water.

Our manufacturing processes

We work actively towards achieving green manufacturing processes.

This involves working on the sustainability and environmental friendliness of our procedures, materials, emissions and day-to-day practices. We also use recycled and recyclable materials wherever possible.

Our current goal

Our main goal is to reduce waste by an additional 5% each year.

We work towards this goal by constantly re-evaluating how we can reduce waste and emissions in our manufacturing and distribution processes.

Our suppliers

Where possible, K-Mark uses suppliers whose environmental values and practices align with our green policy.

We reconsider using suppliers that do not meet our criteria and aim to help to educate those that want to establish their own green policies.

Our packaging

Currently, all our incoming packaging materials are recycled. We also favour outgoing packaging that is recycled.

A green future

Our ultimate goal is to work towards being carbon neutral.

As a manufacturer, it might not be possible to bring our environmental impact and emissions down to zero, at least not with our existing technologies. However, we can work towards offsetting that impact by supporting environmental initiatives, including waste reduction and recycling.
